As a reminder, the x86-64-v3 micro-architecture feature level is compatible with Intel Haswell or AMD Excavator and newer processors. This level also requires support for AVX/AVX2, BMI1/BMI2, FMA, MOVBE, and various other newer instructions, making it a significant performance boost for sensitive applications.

For those with high-end demands, x86-64-v4 offers even more impressive performance with AVX-512 requirements on top of x86-64-v3. However, it requires newer server processors such as Intel Skylake and newer, Intel Core Rocket Lake CPUs with AVX-512 or Ice Lake / Tigerlake, and all AMD Zen 4 processors.
Note: Most Linux distributions are using x86-64-v3 as their baseline for future releases, or at least offering a x86-64-v3 package archive for those with AVX-supported hardware. However, CachyOS is already ahead of the game, providing both x86-64-v3 and x86-64-v4 repositories.
